Say Cheese!

Hey guys, this blog post is just a quick update about our PHOTOBOOTH!

Here’s a brief idea on what our Photobooth service is about and why we started it.

What Got Us Started?

For those who are wondering how The Techy Hub started photobooth service… Well, if you’ve been keeping up with our Instagram and Facebook page, you would undoubtedly have stumbled upon a spam of wedding pictures within the last two weeks! For those of you who have yet to figure it out, our boss, Sengjai recently got hitched to his longtime sweetheart, SuLin. Their wedding ceremony was a charmingly rustic do, set in an unconventionally beautiful space.. Complete with fairy lights and sweet little pots of honey as door gifts, the wedding had an almost dreamlike air to it. It felt like something straight out out of a romantic comedy, and our photobooth service not only managed to capture it all perfectly, but also provided guests with a customized souvenir they could remember the special day by!

thetechyhub-photoboothWe started the photobooth service as an innovation for Sengjai’s wedding. He wanted something affordable for himself that was also in line with the current trends in Malaysia and for this reason the photobooth idea was birthed! A lot of meticulous planning went into creating The Techy Hub photobooth. We thought carefully about every little detail, from the exterior of the photobooth machine to the software used. Thus, our reliable and user-friendly machine came about!

What We’re Planning On Doing With It

We are also planning to expand our photobooth service so that it includes a live Instagram Printer service! The live Instagram Printer is perfect for large scale events and serves as a personalized souvenir for your guests. Plus, it will be able to increase your event’s social media exposure due to the increased usage of your event’s personalized Instagram hashtag! Hopefully, we will be able to bring this to you sooner than expected. More updates about this to follow!

We will definitely be doing big things with our photobooth service, and hopefully our live Instagram Printer too! Do check out this infographic for more information about our photobooth. If you have any further enquiries regarding our services, please feel free to drop us an email at info@thetechyhub.com!

Jonathan Low’s 5 Star Service.

JONATHAN LOW: WINNING CLIENTS’ LOYALTY – 7 Proven Practices to Convert Client to Amazing Fans

[The Royale Chulan Damansara]

The True Meaning of Service

Self Mastery
Experience
Relationship
Value
Innovation
Culture
Empowerment

An energetic and inspiring 90 minutes display from Jonathan Low, one of Asia’s leading speakers in the Art of Hospitality.

We deal with people (whether we like it or not!) on a regular, if not everyday, basis. Whether you’re being served for your lunch, in a taxi ride home, or being greeted in a mall; all of these things fall under SERVICE (see above). And this is what Jonathan delivers to us through his motivational speeches.

To keep us all entertained, and off our phones,  Jonathan delivered his real life experiences and short stories to show us ways to deal with situations, and paths we choose can determine the outcome (and to brighten someone’s day).

He shared this with us. On one incident, his flight had been cancelled, so he was re-ticketed onto the next flight out. He managed to reach his final destination, which was great. Everything went smoothly, until he realised his luggage was left behind!

Now, looking at this situation, he had two ways to go about it:

A: he could screw the guy behind the counter, vet his anger so they could work on getting his luggage back (like the other 10 grumpy people in line waiting behind him)

OR

B: smile at the guy and understand that he’s just a company employee who unfortunately has to deal with this on a regular basis.  By choosing to talk to him in a calm manner, and understanding that shouting at him in frustration will not get your luggage back any quicker.

Think before You Act

Now just taking a few seconds to think about both, before you act. You can really change everything around, if you just try putting yourself in someone’s shoes.

Thank you to Jonathan for giving such a meaningful speech where anyone can practice and apply to, no matter what situation you are in.

Small things can make a difference! 🙂

Global Transformation Forum

The Techy Hub attended the Global Transformation Forum 2015 in KL earlier this week. Originally requested as the website Tech Team, we also had free time to sit in for a few talks.

welcome1

Each of the talks that we sat in gave us an insight of successful people from around the world, all from different industries, coming together to show how we can create an impact in a global environment.

The legendary Olympic sprinter – Carl Lewis, was the first speaker to take centre stage.

“Believing in something that you think you cannot do, and not being afraid of failure.”

This quote got us thinking; it was always trial and error for the Techy Hub. We did not start the company with jobs and a future secured. We worked hard on securing clients, giving the best service we could physically, and here we are still today.

Below is a sneak peak on his talk:

The second individual that took that stage was Pierluigi Collina – considered one of the best (but very stern and scary!) referees in the world of football.

He talked about how every decision he made was an important one. “Even the smallest details can make a difference. Collina said that a change is always needed, knowing the rules of the game and being fit is not enough. You gotta be one step ahead.”

Before every game, he would analyse every player in detail. Whether the player was a right footed or left, a strong player or a wise one etc. From this information, he could then roughly predict a foul from a player. So he could always “Be one step ahead.”

And the final individual that we Techies wanted to see was of course Arnold Schwarzenegger aka The Terminator!

Arnold lived by 6 rules:-

  • Trust yourself
  • Break some rules
  • Don’t be afraid to fail
  • Ignore the naysayers
  • Work like hell
  • Give something back

“If you don’t have a vision, if you don’t have a goal, if you don’t see where you are going – everything is a job or a chore. We must discover our vision and the rest will follow.”

So this got us thinking, what is the The Techy Hub’s vision? What is our end goal? We honestly don’t know (right this moment!) but we definitely  will find out! We need to sit down, find our goal and achieve it successfully!

Arnold added on: “Do not think small, always think big. Shoot for the stars and always ignore the naysayers.”

This was something The Techy Hub needed. A reminder to go strong no matter how hard it will be. The final speech was impactful and something we will take back: “Forget Plan B, work your ass off and give back to the community because if its not us, who? If its now now, when?”
